MAC Holiday Collection 2014 Pigment Set

imageimage (1)

Before I received this for Christmas, I didn’t own any MAC pigments. Now since this was part of the 2014 Holiday Collection; it was limited edition and isn’t be sold by MAC anymore. However, you may be able to find it on Ebay. This set includes 4 pigments and 1 glitter shade. 2 of the pigments are part of the permanent collection though.

The Packaging:

It is so gorgeous, this black container (seen in the top pictures) has a glittered top. Now usually this would be a concern for shedding around my room or when travelling; but so far I haven’t experienced that. The small lady figure on the box makes this packaging my favourite one from MAC so far.

The Pigments:

Whisper Pink

Whisper Pink

This is a limited edition shade called Whisper pink. It is a gorgeous pinky champagne colour. I like to place this either all over the lid or in the inner corner to highlight.

Tan

Tan

This is the shade Tan, which is a permanent shade. It is a lovely bronzy everyday colour. Which looks great all over the lid.

Rose

Rose

This is the shade Rose, which is a permanent shade. This is my favourite one out of the entire set. This is such a beautiful shade which you can use on the lid or in the crease with a pink or gold shade on the lid.

Heritage Rouge

Heritage Rouge

This is the final pigment in the set. It is called Heritage Rouge and it is a limited edition shade. It is a lovely deep brown shade. I use this is the outer v and crease for a brown smokey eye.

The Glitter:

Reigning Riches

Reigning Riches

This is the only glitter in the set. It is a limited edition shade called Reigning Riches. This is a goldy orange shade. When you first apply this on the lid it is pretty sparse. I recommend you spray MAC Fix + on your brush to be apply to pick up more product and then pack it onto the lid.

Swatches:

Whisper Pink, Tan, Rose, Reigning Riches and Heritage Rouge

Whisper Pink, Tan, Rose, Reigning Riches and Heritage Rouge

The Price:

This was £26 from Debenhams. I highly recommend buying pigment sets from MAC because an individual pigment costs £17. I asked for this set because it included Rose and Tan, which if I had bought individually, would of cost me £34.
